The Resistance museum and Akershus Fortress The fortress itself is quite small, but interesting (it even has a ghost) and representative for the Norwegian life at the time it was built. The green areas are also nice for picnics or relaxing. The Resistance museum situated in the fortress tells the story of the very small, but valiant Norwegian resistance during WW2 (the most famous event was their sabotage mission at the Hydro Plant in Telemark, causing a major setback for the Nazis' A-bomb) and displays cool artefacts for smuggling microflms and other secrets. Definitely worth a visit! This beautiful winter picture shows the fortress as seen from AkerBrygge
